It can be difficult to take care of our bodies if we are sitting in chairs or car seats all day. Our bodies are made to be active and to be outside, at least once in a while.
There are all kinds of health and safety procedures which you are meant to do at work to protect your body and especially your back, but we forget them so easily. For those who use orthotics this is doubly important because your body already needs extra support or correction.
There are the basic safety tips like if you are short then you must use a foot rest, because just letting your feet hang puts extra stress on your lower back. Another is that you must sit upright with your forearms leaning on the desk. This is really to make sure that you have the right posture when sitting in a chair for eight hours. (more...)
Taking care of the body has become a bit of an obsession in recent years. And not just the body, but the mind and spirit as well, the days of treating one small ailment are gone; instead people have become much more concerned with an holistic approach to their health.
This means not simply treating the symptom, but also the cause. This seems pretty normal, but for some people it seems strange. Keeping your body healthy firstly can be a bit of a challenge, especially if you have a weakness for French macaroons.
Although in the grand scheme of things a macaroon which is just almond flour, sugar and butter is much better for you than a plate of chips or a pizza. Well really a macaroon is much healthier than almost all junk food, unless you eat fifty. (more...)
More and more people are working from home now, some by choice and some by necessity, and home offices are becoming a key part of many homes.
Companies have strict rules they have to follow about health and safety in the workplace, but these don't apply to home offices and there are many people who sit working at home in poorly lit, poorly ventilated rooms, with unsuitable chairs, wires trailing over the floor, and numerous other health risks.
So what can you do to improve your health if you are working from home? The first thing you should do is eliminate glare on your computer screen as this can serious damage to your eyes. Window blinds are great for this, much better than curtains, as they can be adjusted more easily and can be half open or tilted whereas curtains are only either open or closed. (more...)
Stress, depression and mental illness are becoming much more common than they used to be, and stress is now the most common cause for people taking a long time off work. We all need to think more about our stress levels and try and manage them a bit better.
One of the easiest ways to improve your mood is to smile and laugh more. Even forced laughter has been shown to make people feel less stressed, and "laughter therapy workshops" are being held across the country. Try it – laugh for 30 seconds, even if you don't feel like it, and you will probably find yourself smiling.
Some people don't feel confident smiling because they don't like their teeth, or they have teeth missing, but it is so easy to remedy this situation now. Teeth whitening, veneers and even dental implants are available easily, and can increase confidence. (more...)
There are a wide variety of different research chemicals available online at the moment, with each individual researcher having their own preferences and unique insights into exactly what works and what doesn’t. Etizolam is one of the most recent products to hit the market, and is proving popular.
One of the perks of this particular research chemical is that it is manufactured in pellet form, which ensures that even without high quality scales, you can be sure that the measurements you receive are exact, with each pellet containing 1mg of the chemical itself. This will ensure that your research is accurate and efficient, which is always important.
In a chemical sense, Etizolam is actually similar in structure to more renowned benzodiazepines such as valium and xanax, but with the modification of a phenyl ring of the molecule being replaced with a thiophene ring. This means that there are no licensing controls or regulations in the UK with regards to their use in lab research. (more...)
Keeping healthy in our cramped and overcrowded cities can be a challenge. Riding on the underground or the subway, especially at a change of season, is like running the cold and flu gauntlet. Even working in an office with all the windows closed and the heat circulating can cause many people to get sick.
In cramped cities when one person is sick it is almost inevitable that more people will get ill too. There is a part of this that we can control though – and that is by keeping ourselves and our homes clean.
Part of city life is dealing with pests. When there are millions of people living in a smallish space you will of course have some extra visitors. Various pests will come to bother you and this is why you need to invest in some pest control products. (more...)

From the time we are children we hate the dentist. Well hate is probably too strong a word: it is more that we strongly dislike the dentist and the reason for that is mostly because we are scared of the strange looking man who always wears a face mask and makes our mouths sore. For children this is something that seems to happen naturally, that a fear of the dentist is natural and normal in children.
But what happens if this fear continues into adulthood? Really the fear of the dentist that is created during childhood is not natural at all. It is a behaviour that is learned from other children and of course, none of us like pain in any form.
But the days of scary dentists who seem more like Dr Frankenstein than a lovely dentist are long over. Dentists' surgeries are now open and light and often very child and adult friendly. (more...)
